Thorum
Thorum is a dwarven nation, situated at the foot of the high mountains. The high mountains are rich in minerals, and the Dwarves had earned their living mining metals, and putting their blacksmith skills to use to forge weapons and armors, and sell them to other nations. That is, until war began to break out. For the Dwarves, their war would begin in earnest with the human barbarians on the other side of the mountains, the inhabitants of Nostulk. The battles didn't end, even with the Dwarves hardy bodies and expertly crafted weapons and armor, they were at a stalemate with the battle hardened barbarians that wished to claim possession of the mines of the entire mountain range. Just like the other conflicts, it came to an end when the Great Sphere appeared.
With the Sphere, everything changed. The dwarves were anything but proficient with magic, but due to their expertise in haggling and craftsmanship, they are able to strike deals with the mages of Telnasa and Talrissia to assist with refining the power of the Sphere to assist in refining daily resources. The barbarian clans of Nostulk were less than happy, but would concede and agree to the peace treaty.
As of now, the dwarves continue to do what they do best - mine materials, forge excellent weapons and armor, and do business with anyone that has enough gold in their pockets to pay for their services, save for Nostulk. Even after 300 years, some grudges run deep.
Races: Nearly all who live in Thorum are of the dwarven race. Dwarves aren't particularly hostile to other races, but given their shorter height than most of the other races that populate Celaria, living in Thorum could be troublesome for those that have longer legs.
Laws: Their laws are more in line with Telnasa's, though they do not allow combat to settle disputes, preferring to let law enforcement bring closure to all incidents that may happen.
